Labradoodles may be affected by some common skin and food allergies that may cause redness, itching, and even skin infection and stomach infection.

Chicken, beef, fish, or duck are good options to fulfill their protein needs, but you can also give them small portions of vegetables, grains, and some fruits to keep them healthy and fulfill all their requirements.

Exercise needs

Black and White Australian Labradoodle

Labradoodles are considered farm dogs or working dogs because they have a lot of energy to utilize and need long walks to overcome this amount of energy.

So a one-hour walk is very necessary to keep them active. You can set your routine early in the morning and in the evening.

They also love to do different activities with their owner, like chasing the ball and fetching different things.

If you live in a house with a garden or backyard with a long fence, they do not need that much walking or exercise because they do not sit on the side when they are in the garden.

They love to explore new things and keep themselves busy and active throughout the day.

People who live on farms say Labradoodles are the best option for them because of the wide area and because they also get good space for potty.

Grooming needs

As we know, labradoodles are very energetic dogs, and they have a long coat to manage, so they need regular grooming, but that doesn’t mean it takes so much time to keep them clean and healthy.

They have three different types of thick coats. Straight coats shed little and need regular brushing to keep them shiny and detangled.

Curly and wavy coats are hypoallergenic, do not shed, and are very easy to manage. You have to brush their hair once a day with a soft bristle hair brush, and they are ready to amaze you with their different tricks.

Bathing is essential. Black Labradors are very dynamic dogs, and they carry a lot of dust with them. So you have to give them a bath according to their requirements.

They usually need a bath once a month. Always use good shampoo according to their hair type and wash their hair with normal water.

Do not give them an extra bath or leave any type of shampoo on their body; it will damage their skin and cause dryness, which leads to many skin problems.

After bathing, dry their skin and especially focus on their sensitive areas, such as their paws or ears. Do not leave any water on their skin; it will cause infections in their paws.

The trimming of the Black and White Australian Labradoodle totally depends on the choice of its owner. Some owners like short coats, and most like long coats.

So, if you want their famous long coat, you have to trim their hair once a month to keep it healthy and tidy. If you want short hair, you give their hair a cut once a week.

Ear cleaning

Ear cleaning is also an important part of Black and White Australian Labradoodle grooming because dirty hair causes many health issues in dogs. So clean their ears regularly with a soft towel or any other clean cloth.

Teeth cleaning

Dental hygiene is also a major part of their hygiene process. They must brush their teeth at least once or twice per day. Before having breakfast, a tooth cleaning is very important to maintain their dental health.

Nail trimming

They have small, silvery, but sharp nails, so trim their nails once a week to avoid rashes on their skin, and it is also very important if you have children in your home.
